From the Eco Club
“One of the first conditions of happiness is that the link between man and nature shall not be broken.”
With these words of Revered Leo Tolstoy on our minds the Eco Club of the school was founded at BBPS, Laxmi Nagar
Right since its inception, the club its members and volunteers have been at the vanguard in spreading awareness towards the planet and its metabolic needs and processes that must be respected and preserved.
We know that we are integral part of the environment we live in, and the solution to many environmental problems lies in our attitude towards environment. The best way to bring about a change in this attitude in society is through children.
Year after year, the message is getting louder and is spreading wider through the various inter house and inter class activities that include Wall Magazine Designing, Slogan Writing, Tree Plantation Drives and Street Plays along with the care and maintenance of a full fledged roof top garden sited at the school top.
Eco club members pledge to work in an environment friendly manner which includes usage of paper bags, steel lunch boxes , water management, saving electricity , anti-cracker campaign and other activities.
The club is keen to engross and engage more volunteers from the faculty and students to ensure wider transmission of its humanitarian message:
“The Earth will not persist to offer its yield, except with truthful stewardship. We cannot say we love the earth and then take steps to devastate it.”
Disaster Management Club
A safe and secure environment is a prerequisite for effective teaching and learning. Thus, ensuring safety of children, teachers and staff members during disasters is necessary. Among all public facilities, children in schools are the most vulnerable during disasters.
It becomes of utmost importance that safety of children is given due consideration, Different Mock drills are conducted to train the students and teachers in evacuation techniques for disasters, like fire, earthquake or any other calamity thus making schools safe
Literary Club
The students actively participate in literary and creative skills at school. This skill includes those activities where students get a chance to learn and exhibit his potential when it comes to Debate, Declamation, Creative Writing, Recitation, Poster Making, Slogan Writing, Theatre etc. After acquiring the skills, the student is ready to participate in various inter and intra school competitions.
Health and Wellness Club
“ HEALTH IS A STATE OF BODY ,WELLNESS IS A STATE OF BEING.”
The main aim of this club is to make students aware of their health hygiene of self and their surroundings. This club helps us to utilise and channelise their maximum energy. As the name suggests has taken up some projects at the school level to serve the purpose like celebrating food week , regular check on fruit consumption , conducting awareness classes on certain communicable diseases , preparing slogans and notice boards for certain days like WORLD HEALTH DAY, WORLD POULATION DAY etc
